Live (published by Performing Arts Journal and previously titled Performance Art) was a New York City-based arts magazine established in 1979 and edited by Bonnie Marranca and Gautam Dasgupta.
In addition to in depth coverage of visual arts, Live includes artist writings, interviews, dialogues, and documentation, making it an indispensable record of the cross-media avant-garde in New York City and beyond.
This issue includes contributions from Laurie Anderson and Edit deAk, documentation of the Dance Benefit for Movement Research, and reviews of books by Christopher Knowles, John Greyson, and Ida Applebroog.
From the library of the late critic and curator Edit Deak.
