White Dudes is a zine made by artist Rinny Perkins published by Rinny Riot x Brownie Points. White Dudes is an eight page, full color zine comprised of cringe-worthy tinder messages, unanswered text messages, and ill-shared memories with white dudes “who may or may not play bass.” As a woman of color, Rinny Perkins sheds light on the ignorant and often racist messages she has received from men on the internet. Although the zine takes a tone of humor, Perkins is raising an important issue: the harmful effects born out of the lack of sensitivity and awareness of a digital mask of anonymity.

Artist and designer Rinny Perkins was born in Houston, Texas and lives and works in Los Angeles. She uses vintage 70’s advertisements and album covers as a vehicle for intersectional feminist content. Her work has been featured in Vice, US of America, and the SF Gate.
