This book by Coco Gordon features a collection of photocopied collages of text by Robert C. Morgan, with an essay by Morgan and an introduction by the author. Gordon, with a history in papermaking and publishing, works with a variety of font styles and sizes on an assortment of different paper types, including acetates, tracing paper, and handmade paper. The pages feature a combination of text (often cut off at the edges), photocopied images, and speech bubbles containing phrases concerning ecological, social, and political issues.
Influenced by both Fluxus and the principles of permaculture, TIKYSK–an abbreviation by Gordon for “Things I Know You Should Know”–is at once didactic and dialogic, containing empty pages with the heading “Notes” on which readers can respond to SuperSkyWoman, the “sustainable person, virtual person in real time” that Gordon becomes within the text. As Morgan writes in his essay, “Process art could also be participation art, and this is exactly what Gordon wants to happen.”
