The Congress Documentary Catalogue is one of the most extensive documents of the mail art movement. This limited edition book, is handmade and photocopy printed and was published in 1992-1993 in Denmark, England, Germany and Tasmania by mail artists Angela and Peter Netmail. This volume includes photos and texts by the authors in collaboration with the thousands of people they met and corresponded with from all over the world. The Netmails traveled by train, plane, car, and even boat in order to pick up and deliver mail art to other artists. They not only created an organization system of registration and delivery, but also a visual diary of their travels. This publication is a testament to this epic mail art journey. Included in this handmade book are journal entries, photographs, art stamps, traditional rubber stamps, stickers, black and white photographs, drawings, and collages. Each unique book is a major contribution to the reputation and canon of mail art as a legitimate genre. It is a fascinating documentary catalogue as well as a work of art on its own.
