Translated as Petra Once Again, this book was published to accompany the 1988 exhibition of the same name at the Kunsthalle Winterthur; it consists of drawings, most of them study sketches for the “Peter” sculptures, made on hotel stationery. As a foreword, Kippenberger uses the text “Die Ironie ist Abgenutzt” [The Irony is Jaded], which was written as a review of an earlier exhibition of Kippenberger’s work at the Galerie Borgmann-Capitain in Cologne. The author describes Kippenberger’s working approach as “Arbitrariness taken to the extreme, the underlying irony and wit long since jaded.” Only the drawings, sketches, and designs for sculptures are exempted by the reviewer as “not as laboured as the finished sculptures to which they refer.” References: Uwe Koch, Annotated catalogue raisonné of the books by Martin Kippenberger 1977-1997, 2003. p. 164
