This book is a compendium of exhibition photographs, short essays, and archival material regarding The Swamp Show and the exhibition site’s decorated past.
The Swamp Show was an outdoor exhibition of art set along the Connecticut River’s Oxbow in Northampton, Massachusetts. It took place on the warm fall weekend of October 8-10th, 2021. The show exhibited twenty-six artists from the local tri-county area, as well as, New Jersey, New York, California, Texas, and Vermont. It ranged from paintings on recycled materials, to works of stained glass, sculptures, ceramics, wind chimes, and more. Pieces were affixed high and low to Silver Maple and Green Ash trees; while some grazed the water, and others were fully submerged in the swampy inlet of the Oxbow.
