Peter Wegner’s latest release is a sculptural multiple in book form called A,N,S,W,E,R,S,&,Q,U,E,S, T,I,O,N,S, It is actually a book-within-a-book: nestled into the die cut pages of A,N,S,W,E,R,S - a traditionally cloth bound tome containing 800 pages of color theory, including texts by Wittgenstein, Goethe, and Albers - is a Plexiglas box of stacked colored papers that make up Q,U,E,S,T,I,O,N,S,. Wegner’s project sets our culture’s “uncritical faith in experts and answers" against the “inexhaustible surprise of the world, which is a series of questions,” he says. “All answers are provisional and incomplete.”
