Die No Die (Arkansas) was produced on the occasion of a performance of the same name in which Will Arbery, Karen Castleman, Matty Davis, Lyle Oberman, Tony Orrico, and Blake Worthey navigated a four-part choreographic structure that includes the “Critical Gesture of Arrival,” “The Gem,” “Send the Heart Deeper,” and “Oppositional States.” This happened one person at a time–alone together–in linear succession across 800m of The Momentary’s grounds.

Like maps are used to familiarize a person with the terrain, routes, and possibilities of a geography or place, Die No Die (Arkansas) involves a publication that details architectures, flora, types of ground, and qualities as they relate to the performers and the performance’s trajectory.

Each edition includes a silkscreen overprint made using surface rubbings from the aftermath of the live performance. -Publisher
