Publication about the work of Kaqjay Moloj, a Mayan Kaqchikel collective that runs a communitarian museum in the town of Patzicía in Chimaltenango, Guatemala, dedicated to the reconstruction of the history, memory and identity that was lost during the Internal Armed Conflict (1960- 1996 ), during which the Guatemalan State carried out a genocide against the indigenous mayan population.
The book includes essays on identity, communitarian archeology, the construction of the National subject and the experience of the Mayan communities in Los Angeles, written by Kaqjay Moloj, Eddy Tocón, the Comunidad Kaqchikel de Investigación (Kaqchikel Research Community), Beatriz Cortez and Douglas Carranza Mena, as well as archival photographs and images of the interventions made by the collective. -Publisher
