Vida de Plutón (Life of Pluto) is an artist book of photographs and poetry in English and Spanish by artist Luz A. Santana. It portrays a journey of introspection of the artist through nostalgic and personal photographs touching on themes of memory, doubt, and fear which create an emotional universe. The arc of the book mirrors the story of the planet Pluto, which was perceived as too obscure until a space mission recategorized it as a planet. To the author, Pluto represents a return toward her own history.
Vida de Plutón is published by Peruvian publisher Pequeño Pato Salvaje Editorial in 2018. Founded in Lima in 2015, Pequeño Pato Salvaje Editorial produces digital content and audiovisual installations and publishes books which allow them to share honest and emotional stories from artists from all over the world with sensitivity and curiosity.
