“During a serious personal crisis in 1968, the musician Karlheinz Stockhausen composed Of The Seven Days. His work developed the concept of Intuitive Music, and it consists of a series of texts, which requires musicians to achieve a meditative state through suggestive prescriptions. One of these, ‘play a vibration to the rhythm of the universe’, is the starting point for my book Un afiche impreso 500 veces a full color [A Full Color Poster Printed 500 Times].
In this sense, the book explores the execution of that prescription from the editorial scope. For this motive I repeat following stanza 500 times: ‘un afiche impreso en c, un afiche impreso en cm, un afiche impreso en cmy, un afiche impreso en cmyk [a poster printed in c / a poster printed in cm / a poster printed in cmy / a poster printed in cmyk]’ as if it were a mantra. This represents the 500 papers that pass through the four ink rollers, suggesting the sound of the printing press is the music of creation, or Big Bang. - The artist
