We’re heading to Buenos Aires for arteBA, an international art fair geared primarily to production from Latin America. The fair, now in its 24th year, will welcome 100 galleries onto the premises of La Rural in the Palermo section of the city between June 4 and 7 ( June 3 Pre – Opening).
Printed Matter is part of the Isla de Ediciones section of the fair, where we will present a special selection of vintage artists books from the 1960, 70s and 80s; a selection of Spanish language artists books, many from Latin America; a selection of recent releases including artists’ zines; and of course an offering of Printed Matter’s own publications.
The vintage artists book selection comprises a remarkable offering of experimental artists’ books dating back to 1966, that are in mint to fine condition, and priced very affordably - testimony to the legacy of the contemporary artists books as a form of public art.
In addition, Printed Matter is offering rare and early artists’ books byPeter Downsbrough and Lawrence Weiner, as well as a special selection of limited edition artists’ zines by Tom Sachs.
Workshops and book presentations will take place in the Isla de Ediciones auditorium over the weekend, given by leading figures in the publishing world.
Special thanks to artBA for their support to make our presence at the fair possible.
