Join us for conversations with poet and artist Alessandro De Francesco, Livy Snyder, and Max Norman at Printed Matter Chelsea.

The first half of the evening will explore the longstanding collaboration between the publisher punctum books and Alessandro. The artist and Livy Snyder of punctum books will discuss Alessandro’s essays and poetry books Continuum (2015), Remote Vision (2016), Hephaestus Reloaded (2019), ((( (2021), and Continuum 2 (2024). Some passages will be read by the author.

The second half of the evening will feature a discussion between Alessandro and the US-American scholar Max Norman around the artist book And agglomerations, of trees or, written by Alessandro in Italian, translated by Max into English, and published in a dual-language edition by Mousse Publishing.

Alessandro De Francesco is a poet, artist, and essayist, writing and publishing in Italian, French, and English. He teaches at the art academies of Bern, Switzerland, and Turin, Italy, where he is currently based.

Livy Onalee Snyder is the Associate Director of Library and Community Outreach at punctum books and a developer of the Open Book Collective. She also writes and edits for “Sixty Inches From Center.”

Max Norman is an associate editor at “The Drift”, and writes about literature, art, and culture. He was formerly a culture correspondent for “The Economist”.
